A SLAVE OF CAPITAL IN THE SERVICE OF A MALICIOUS JESTER

Two surnames—Trump and Putin—are now associated by everyone with the “dismantling” and destruction of the global system. We cannot repeat everything A. Khachatryan “foresaw” over the last 30 years, but we want to recall three of his most important “predictions.” First: the open letter to Russian President V. V. Putin in 2003, published by both Russian and Armenian media. A. Khachatryan (then in Lefortovo Prison) warned that if “power’s bedfellows” with their “showy” politics remained at the helm, future conflicts with Syria and states that were former Union Republics—Transnistria, Georgia, Ukraine, Nagorno-Karabakh and Central Asia—would be inevitable; he emphasized that more than Russia’s fate depended on the Kremlin.

Second: “People’s Diplomacy,” 2015. A. Khachatryan writes: “Crimea is the cornerstone vector of a change in the global legal order.” Third: a series of articles eight years ago, when nobody yet believed D. Trump would come to power in the United States. Khachatryan wrote that “Trump, with his merchant’s mentality, will become the last president of a still-powerful America. With his rise to power, not only the economy but humanity itself will be on the brink of destruction…” That is exactly how it is—this is our present day… How did he foresee it?!

Phenomenal… And notice: the geopolitical analyst never discusses who is right or who is to blame, but only warns in advance and shows how particular problems can be avoided. Some time ago we met Arbak Shaumyanovich and, of course, could not refrain from asking about the US president. We will try to convey the essence of the conversation. In Mr. Khachatryan’s opinion, Trump alone cannot be blamed for everything: he is a product of the system, the result of a century of “genetic” changes; trade and public relations are his forte.

Looking back: Egyptian pharaohs, Persian kings, Roman emperors, later kings, sultans and so on… Most were considered God’s representatives on Earth and wielded unlimited power; humanity’s fate depended on them. Thus a paramount task was the spiritual upbringing of children—their successors, the future rulers—in honor, dignity, family and state. The very best educators and teachers were selected from around the world. Time passed… Other peoples and tribes, mostly former slaves, sought by any means what they did not possess—power and money.

This became life’s foremost priority, while spiritual values receded into the background. New state structures and religions oriented toward current demands began to emerge (for example, the Inquisition, which effectively governed Europe). However, A. Khachatryan considers the most destructive period for humanity to have been the one in our own time when international norms became subordinate to the financial and banking system, and international institutions and organizations—for example, the UN and the Red Cross—were fed from a single source.

When this financial and banking system became humanity’s circulatory network and no state could manage without it anymore, “super-operator” Trump arrived with a joystick to control the world. His state contains the world’s source of money, the strongest armaments and technological base, so he tries to dictate to the whole world and “doesn’t give a damn” about international institutions. Most dangerously, both China, with its enormous, wealthy economy, and your neighbor, who has only a thousand in foreign currency, cling to this destructive financial matrix.

Mr. Khachatryan also mentioned that the “super-operator with a joystick” controls the global market in services: the United States currently has the most advanced technologies and sets the rules for “virtual” money. He illustrated his attitude with a “past–present” example: two thousand years ago information was conveyed “with the help of a slave”—a scroll was given to him and he went where needed. Time passed, and a messenger performed this task. Later, a postman provided this service. Today, instead of that slave, there are Instagram, Facebook and artificial intelligence… But the essence remains the same: a service.

The further technology with human-like capabilities develops, the fewer chances there are for humanity, nature and all living things. We can only hope people come to their senses and human reason, with God’s help, does everything necessary to ensure that the service serves humanity rather than governs its life.
